Hydraulic anchor drilling rig, a type of anchor drilling rig that uses hydraulic oil as its working medium.

2025-10-29 Visits:

A hydraulic anchor bolt drilling rig is an anchor bolt drilling machine that uses hydraulic oil as its working medium. It boasts advantages such as safety and explosion-proof features, reasonable structure, convenient operation, high power, high efficiency, long service life, and labor-saving operation. It has an extremely low failure rate, is lightweight, and easy to operate, enabling high-speed, high-quality drilling in tunnels with varying rock hardness. Its use in tunnels with compressed air can save energy and increase efficiency; it is an essential piece of equipment in tunnels without compressed air pipelines; and it can be used in conjunction with roadheaders in fully mechanized tunnels.

Based on its structural form, the drilling rig can be divided into outrigger type, rail type, and handheld type; based on its function, it can be divided into roof anchor bolt drilling rigs and side anchor bolt drilling rigs.

The working principle of a hydraulic anchor bolt drilling rig mainly relies on its powerful hydraulic system. This system typically includes components such as a hydraulic motor, hydraulic cylinder, oil pump, and control valves. When the operator starts the machine, the oil pump delivers hydraulic oil to the hydraulic motor and hydraulic cylinder, driving the drill bit to rotate and advance, thereby drilling the required hole in the rock and soil. After drilling is completed, the drilling rig will continue working, pushing the anchor bolts into the hole and fixing them through grouting to form an effective support structure.

The construction process is roughly as follows:

   1. Drilling Operation:

① No-load Test: Start the pump station motor and check the pressure gauge readings, oil tank temperature, and fluid level; perform no-load runs of the outriggers and motor.

② Hole Positioning: Insert the hexagonal drill rod into the hexagonal hole of the drill rod connector, allowing the drill rod to rotate slowly or first press against the top plate, then advance the outriggers to bring the drill bit into contact with the top plate. Drill approximately 20mm to complete the hole opening.

③ Drilling: Open the water valve switch and adjust the angle of the propulsion mechanism control handle according to the rock hardness to achieve optimal matching between the propulsion speed and rotation torque for efficient drilling.

④ Connecting the Drill Rod: After drilling the first rod, close the water valve. With the drill rod rotating, reverse the control handle of the propulsion mechanism to lower the outriggers, pulling the completed drill rod out of the hole. Insert the new drill rod and continue drilling.

⑤ Flushing the Hole: After drilling to the specified depth, maintain drill rod rotation and water supply, allowing the outriggers to slowly lower and flush away residual rock powder from the hole.

   2. Installing Anchor Bolts:

After drilling is complete, remove the drill rod and insert the anchor injector into the drill rod joint. Insert the anchor bolt with the nut into the anchor injector, add the resin cartridge, and push it to the bottom of the hole. Rotate the anchor bolting machine rapidly for several seconds until the rotational resistance increases, then stop. Maintain the thrust until the resin cartridge has solidified firmly. Finally, remove the nut, place the washer plate, and retighten the pre-tightening mechanism.

When using a hydraulic anchor bolt drilling rig, it is essential to adhere to safe operating procedures. This includes checking the main unit's operating switches, hydraulic oil pipes, and water pipe connections before drilling to ensure the roof, coal seam, and floor are stable and unobstructed. During drilling, avoid touching the drill rod while the rig is rotating, and do not extend the outriggers too quickly when opening the hole to prevent sudden loading that could cause the control arm to swing and injure personnel. Simultaneously, operators should regularly maintain and service the drilling rig, avoiding arbitrarily disassembling valve blocks, carefully checking drill bit connections and shut-off valve connections, and keeping the hydraulic oil clean.

Hydraulic anchor bolt drilling rigs from different manufacturers and models may vary in specific performance, parameters, and prices. If you need to purchase or use a hydraulic anchor bolt drilling rig, please contact our company.
