The Lanhi LH-150Y integrated tunneling and support unit was developed specifically for complete tunnel construction

2025-09-11 Visits:

Today, many tunnel projects in the infrastructure sector face challenges such as long single-cycle operation times, a wide variety of equipment, frequent equipment relocations, and a high number of personnel required for each process.

The LH-150Y integrated tunneling and support unit is here to help!

Lanhi has been focusing on the research and development and application of key equipment for underground engineering projects such as mining, hydropower, road and railway tunnels, and energy storage, providing innovative and efficient solutions for energy extraction and underground engineering construction. This is the reason why Lanhi's LH-150Y integrated tunneling and support unit was developed. It integrates key functions such as excavation, mucking, erecting, anchor bolting, and shotcreting. In the past, multiple processes required multiple machine moves, which was time-consuming and labor-intensive. Today, the integrated tunneling and support unit can perform multiple processes in parallel, eliminating the need for machine moves. Compared to conventional methods and products, its construction efficiency is 50% to 60% higher, with the shortest single construction cycle completed in just 8 hours!

Successful Application Case: Achieving the Successful Breakthrough of the Wujiawan Tunnel on the Chengdu-Chongqing Central Line and Gaining Wide Recognition

The integrated tunneling and support unit has been successfully applied in numerous high-speed railway and municipal projects, including the Chengdu-Chongqing Central Line. With the final drive of the LH-150Y integrated tunneling and support unit, the Wujiawan Tunnel on the Chengdu-Chongqing Central Line was successfully broken through. Consequently, the integrated tunneling and support unit has received unanimous recognition and praise from partner companies and media outlets, including Shudao Group, Sichuan Road and Bridge Corporation, Sichuan Railway Construction Corporation, and Southwest Business Daily. Sichuan Road and Bridge Corporation stated that the integrated tunneling and support unit, with its advanced digitalization and intelligence features, has improved project construction efficiency.

  1. Three Parallel Operations (Save Time and Effort!)

1. 三工序平行作业.gif
After the tunneling and support unit arrives on site, grouting and mucking can be performed simultaneously during excavation. These three operations are carried out in parallel, saving construction time, significantly improving efficiency, and reducing equipment transfer time. Mucking can also be performed after excavation is completed.

   2. Arch Erection (Quick Arch Installation!)

2. 立架.gif
After the supporting forklift has completed the multi-process parallel operations at the tunnel face, the prefabricated arch comes into play! The arch boom transports the transported arch to the tunnel face. The left and right erection booms respectively extend the arch, adjusting the arch position. The gondola crew quickly completes the welding of connecting bolts, arch connecting reinforcement, and mesh. Simultaneously, the prefabricated arch is lifted from the rear and transported to the arch storage mechanism for quick transition to the next construction cycle, further saving construction time.

  3. Anchor Bolting (Three Arms Drill Simultaneously!)

3. 锚杆.gif
While the arch is being installed, the center boom is deployed for advance work, while the left and right booms simultaneously lock the foot and perform system anchor bolting operations. All three booms simultaneously perform drilling operations, significantly improving construction efficiency.

   4. Intelligent Management (The Best Helper for Construction Partners!)

First: Video surveillance technology helps identify misconduct during construction, improving safety.

Second: LiDAR technology enables tunnel face contour scanning, over-excavation and under-excavation alerts, and volume estimation.

Third: Simulated robotic arm collision detection and obstacle avoidance planning safeguard construction workers.

Fourth: Process recognition enables automatic timekeeping and construction log entry, facilitating management.

Fifth: Multiple cameras enable real-time video transmission and remote monitoring of the construction process.

The LH-150Y integrated tunneling and support unit, with its digital and integrated construction model, has injected new impetus into the continuous progress of tunnel engineering construction under complex geological conditions. Looking ahead, Lanhi will continue to use innovation as a weapon and hard work as a shield, and is committed to providing support for the smooth implementation of more complex projects.
